Jalen Duren has averaged just under 15 rebounds per game over his last four games during a stretch that saw him grab 23 against Toronto and 17 against Miami. Given the pace Indiana is playing at, there will be plenty of chances for more tonight.
The wobbly Indiana Pacers can’t afford more slip-ups in the race to avoid the play-in, and the latest NBA Odds Have them as heavy favorites against the Detroit Pistons tonight.
The Pacers remain a top threat, but they need to steady the ship, having stumbled to a 5-5 record in their last 10 games, including a 108-103 loss to the Cavaliers on Monday.
That makes this trip to Detroit timely. The Pistons have lost three straight – falling to 12-56 – and were eliminated by the Celtics earlier this week despite Jaden Ivey’s 21 points.

Pacers vs Pistons Predictions
Amid this avalanche of losses, big questions arise about this. Detroit Pistons core, but they can cling to a few glimmers of hope from a miserable season – and Jalen Duren is one of them.
Duren continues to attract attention as an elite rebounder and I’m looking to him for my best bet tonight as a key presence in the paint for a short-handed Detroit team.
Although Duren’s numbers have bounced back a bit this month, he pulled down 23 rebounds against the Raptors last week and followed that up with 17 rebounds against the Heat.
There should be no shortage of rehearsal opportunities here. THE Indiana Pacers bring a fast-paced style that results in 92.4 field goal attempts per game — second in the NBA this season — and Duren pulled down 13 rebounds in the teams’ last meeting.
Plus, with Isaiah Stewart ruled out and Taj Gibson and Simone Fontecchio listed as questionable, he should grab an even bigger share of the boards tonight.
My best bet: Jalen Duren Over 12.5 rebounds (-115 at PROLINE+)
Parlay Pacers vs Pistons in the same game
There’s urgency for the Pacers with just 12 games remaining in the regular season – and a win against the lowly Pistons is a must for the visitors as they seek 6th place in the East.
Indiana is 36-30-3 ATS this season and has won the last three meetings between these teams, covering the spread in each, including a comfortable 129-115 victory last month.
Even though the Pacers are just a .500 team away from home, it’s hard to see Detroit keeping up here. The Pistons shot just 43 percent from the field against the Celtics on Monday and are the second-fewest 3-point scorers per game (11.3) in the NBA.
I also take the Under. The visitors continue to pile up points, with the exception of their loss to the Cavs this week, but a total of 232.5 seems a bit high considering Detroit’s erratic offense.
It’s not like the Pacers are firing on all cylinders, either. Pascal Siakam was limited to 19 points per game in March while Tyrese Haliburton hasn’t had a 25-point game this month — plus, Indiana is missing Bennedict Mathurin’s explosive scoring off the bench.
