The last few seasons have been very tumultuous for Patrick Beverley. In two seasons, Beverley has joined four teams: the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Philadelphia 76ers, and Milwaukee Bucks. After two volatile seasons, Beverley has found a new home with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC of the Israeli Basketball Premier League.

After making the initial announcement of his joining the team in July, Beverley gave his first impressions after attending the team’s training camp. Beverley revealed his thoughts on the Pat Bev Pod.

“The training camp in Bulgaria was tough, very tough, but it was fun,” Beverley said. “We competed a lot, but the most important thing is that we got to know each other. The foreign players and the Israeli players were able to connect, we were able to learn from each other, and I think that’s the most important thing in the game of basketball: chemistry. Our chemistry is great, we all like each other.”

If there’s one thing that excites Patrick Beverley most about playing for a new international team, it’s the Tel Aviv fans.

“We’re excited,” Beverley said. “The fans, I’ve seen so much video and they’ve shown me so much video of the fans, and I can’t wait to get out there and play in Tel Aviv.”

Patrick Beverley still seemed to have NBA potential. However, other NBA teams in the running for the title may not feel that way. Hopefully, he finds what he’s looking for with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC.
