So between Orlando, Cavs and Indiana, I’m going to be more rattled by Orlando.”

Garnett noted that Banchero is arguably the best player on all three teams, which is a bold statement since the Cavaliers have Donovan Mitchell and, to a lesser extent, the Pacers have Tyrese Haliburton. Garnett would instead say that Banchero is still 21 and has the potential to become a superstar, as his potential is incredibly high for the former No. 1 overall pick.

“Of the three, Paolo is probably the superstar, the superstar, if he can reach that potential, right? But you have to give him some things,” Garnett said. “I love the Wagners and all that, but you have to give him some things. I love Cole Anthony, I love the way he competes.”

Pierce would respond that Orlando has “just a lot of really good young players.” Banchero would agree, saying last week on ESPN’s “First Take” that the Magic are up there with the best teams in the East like the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers.

“We’re on the same level as all those teams,” Banchero said. “I remember last year we started in the top three, top two, and everybody thought it was a fluke… But we finished strong and got fifth, and we had a chance to really take second at the end…”

“We were there last year and we got better this year, like I said. I got better, we all got better,” Banchero said. “We’re trying to make some noise, we should easily be a top-four, top-three team and have a chance to win the Eastern Conference.”
