New Rochelle, NY – The Pélicans assistant in New Orleans, Dan Geriot, was appointed coach in Iona on Thursday, three days after the dismissal of Tobin Anderson after two years of labor to switch Rick Pitino.
Gériot, 36, was in his tenth season as an assistant within the NBA, 9 years with the Cleveland Cavaliers and one with the Pélicans.
He performed in Richmond from 2006-11 and commenced his profession as a coach as an assistant to Princeton and Campbell.
The Gaels completed this season 17-17 this season and reached the Metro Atlantic Athletic Convention championship match. They had been 16-17 within the first season of Anderson.
