BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Glen Oaks High School basketball players got a big surprise from New Orleans Pelicans forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl.
Robinson-Earl and his father, Lester Earl, presented basketball shoes to the players on Monday, March 11.
The father and son also donated sneakers to students at Glen Oaks High and the surrounding community.
Lester Earl is no stranger to school. He was a star basketball player there between 1993 and 1996 and even received the Louisiana High School “Mr. Basketball Award.
There were also appearances from Pierre The Pelican and the Pelicans entertainment teams.
