Let’s continue today’s themethe new City edition of the Phoenix Suns and Washington Wizards short films have been leaked on social networks Friday morning.

The Suns shorts pay homage to the 1995 NBA All-Star Game, more specifically the purple uniforms worn by the Eastern Conferenceas evidenced by the green cactus and orange star of the game’s logo on the belt.
The shorts also feature the same green, orange and black stripes around the waist and leg holes, as well as the same Aztec pattern on the sides as the 1995 All-Star Game uniforms.
The only difference is the Suns logo in the shape of a sun on the left leg and the orange star behind the green cactus on the waistband, because the stars only appeared on the jerseys at the All-Star Game.
Sources have indicated that Phoenix’s new City Edition jerseys, meanwhile, will be has the inscription “The Valley” on the chest in white while carrying over the side panels and the border along the shorts to the collar and armholes.

The Wizards’ new City Edition uniform, on the other hand, is actually the home version of their 2023-24 kit, which was inspired by the stones that mark the original border of the District of Columbiaas shown by the logo on the shorts.
They no longer feature the black, red, copper and teal color palette, which symbolized the oxidized metal fence and the natural flora around the stones, and now appears in Washington’s familiar blue and red colorway.
The stone texture remains in the piping along the shorts, which feature the same “DMV” wordmark that appeared on last year’s shorts on the waistband, representing the DC, Maryland and Virginia metropolitan area.
Sources said the matching white jersey would also feature the Old English “District of Columbia” wordmark on the chest, but would no longer include the diamond shape that represented D.C.’s original 10-by-10-mile boundary.
