Although the Milwaukee Bucks have experienced seismic changes over the past few months, their primary focus has not changed; they want an NBA championship.
This team was built with this one goal in mind, and they are going to do what they can to bring another title to Milwaukee. Just like in 2021, winning a title can change the legacy for the rest of time. As the Bucks look to capture the joy of winning again, several people involved could significantly alter their legacy depending on how things play out over time.

If everyone was asked who the most annoying and agitated player in the NBA is, Patrick Beverley could run away by a mile. Not only does the guard love to bullshit, but he’s also a dog on the defensive end, with three All-Defensive selections. However, when a player talks about a great game, he will be criticized if he fails to support it.
Beverley has been part of a multitude of excellent teams, but he has never been able to go all the way. Sure, he was never one of the best players on those teams, so he never received the majority of the criticism, but because of his antics, he still received a lot of it. When it comes to Beverley, people seem to be siding with Russell Westbrook, who has alluded to overestimating Beverley’s defensive impact.

No matter what people think of Beverley, there is no doubt that he has the energy, intensity and defensive play that this team needed. Before his arrival, there were too many games where it felt like the Bucks lacked energy. They may still pop up here and there, but Beverley has done her part to give this team a mental spark as much as possible, which has helped greatly.
Since the trade, many people have compared the move to the one that brought PJ Tucker to the Bucks in 2021. Tucker brought a similar attitude and defensive prominence to Beverley, helping the Bucks win their first title in 50 years as a key piece. . Before this, many wondered if he was the quality piece on the defensive end that people were touting him to be. Beverley could follow the same path.
If history does indeed repeat itself, those who claim Beverley’s impact is overrated will likely be defeated in the eyes of many. Of course, all eyes will be primarily on him when the playoffs begin, which is when the legacy will truly be made.
