The Raptors host the Kings at Scotiabank on Wednesday (7:30 p.m. ET/TSN), in a battle of teams going in opposite directions. And even though Toronto seems far from winning this matchup, we have identified several value betting opportunities in this matchup.
Toronto has seen better days. The Raps have struggled without All-Star Scottie Barnes (hand) and big man Jakob Poeltl (pinky), and now they are without swingman RJ Barrett after the tragic death of his brother Nathan. Toronto has lost nine of its last 10 games and is now in 12th place in the East.

The Kings, meanwhile, have won five of their last seven games and appear poised for another late-season playoff appearance. Domantas Sabonis has been a double-double and triple-double machine, De’Aaron Fox remains as effective as ever, and Malik Monk seems destined for Sixth Man of the Year honors.
Can Toronto make this one interesting? Or will Sacramento blow the doors off the undermanned Raptors? Let’s dive into the BetMGM Odds and Best Bets for this interconference shock.
Raptors vs Kings prediction, player props, best bets against the spread and moneyline
All odds and props are from BetMGM, a licensed NBA gaming operator.
- ATS: Kings -7.5 (-105) | Raptors +7.5 (-115)
- Money line: Kings -290 | Raptors +240
- More less : W 234.5 (-105) | U234.5 (-115)
No surprises here. The undermanned Raptors have gone just 13-20 straight and ATS at home, while the Kings have gone an impressive 20-14 ATS on the road . Sacramento averages over 118 points per game (eighth best), while Toronto averages just under 111 PPG at home.
The Kings have also shown solid depth of late, with Malik Monk arguably the best offensive catalyst of any bench player this season and several young bench pieces stepping up amid Kevin Huerter’s injuries.
Raptors vs Kings predictions, best bets
Things got really bad for Toronto. Darko Rajaković’s team has lost seven straight and nine of its last 10, and its 2-8 ATS record in its last 10 indicates that most losses aren’t even that close. There’s no real offensive leader — it’s just a group of guys who should support the pieces of a team trying to keep up with healthy teams in an NBA season that has seen unprecedented scoring levels.
Against the sixth-best team in the West, it’s hard to trust the Raptors without Barnes, Poeltl and Barrett. The Kings recently massacred Giannis and the Bucks 129-94, and they beat LeBron and the Lakers by double digits twice in March. They’ve also beaten the Nuggets twice since February and handed L’s to the Clippers and Timberwolves during that span.
Long story short, Sacramento has way too much offense for Toronto to contain, let alone try to overrun. Reigning Coach of the Year Mike Brown and his staff have always prepared this Kings team and they rarely take an opponent lightly or downplay their competition. Case in point: They just beat the Grizzlies 121-111 on Monday.
The Raptors, meanwhile, have suffered losses of nine, 10 and most recently 15 points in their last three games. They failed to eclipse 104 points in that span and hovered around 45 percent from the floor. They also commit a lot of fouls, don’t take much care of the ball, and are allowing an NBA-best 55.7 rebounds per game during that stretch.
We hate to be blunt, but the Raptors need this season to end so they can regroup and focus on 2024-25. All we can do as fans and bettors is find the value in their opponents’ spreads, team overs and player props and hope the bottom of Raptors Nation is well behind us.
FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: kings 123, Raptors 105 – The Kings earn (-290) And blanket (-7.5), and the score ends well BELOW the projected total (234.5).
Betting on the best Raptors player against the Kings
Domantas Sabonis rebounds — OVER 14.5 (-120)
Sabonis has been an absolute stud all season and he seems to be making a case for the best season by an All-Star snob in NBA history. In the month of March alone, Domas is averaging 16.7 rebounds per game, to go with 21.8 points and 7.3 assists.
And even if this number seems absurd to aim for an OVER, know that he has reached it in seven of the Kings’ last nine games. Also understand that the Raptors are allowing opposing teams to accumulate 52.7 rebounds per game and have given up 55.7 per game over their last three games. Domas could have a 20-20 game and we wouldn’t even blink.
