These teams faced off on Friday, with the Magic riding a well-balanced attack to a 113-103 victory for their seventh win in their last nine outings and maintaining their lead in the paint.

THE Orlando Magic’s This heat streak can be attributed to various factors, including the growth of Paolo Banchero as Orlando’s main man, but the contributions undeniably come up and down the roster.
Four Magic players scored 15 or more points in Friday’s game to give their offense just enough momentum to survive Friday’s game. Toronto Raptorsand I turn to one of their more overlooked cogs for my best bet here.
Wendell Carter Jr. has become a big factor in Orlando’s starting lineup, and I’m focusing on his points + rebounds tonight.
Carter Jr. seems to be getting better every month and his minutes are piling up. He had 15 points and eight rebounds against Toronto two nights ago, and he’s reached the Over with that number of 21.5 in each of his last three outings.
This matchup turns out to be favorable for the big man from Orlando. With the Raptors painfully thin in the frontcourt, Carter Jr. should have an advantage against Kelly Olynyk and Jontay Porter – both on the boards and as a scorer.
He has made two 3-pointers four times in his last six games while benefiting from the attention that Banchero and Franz Wagner draw, and he should thrive against a Toronto defense that has allowed at least 120 points five times this month.
I’m taking this points + rebounds prop and counting on another impressive stat line from the 24-year-old.

Even with Orlando’s 44-23 ATS record this year, a 12-point line seems too high tonight. The Raptors can still generate offense with Emmanuel Quickley and Trent Jr. in the backcourt, and they matched the Magic for much of Friday’s battle.
There’s no denying the visitors are on a bad run, but it’s worth noting that only one of their six consecutive defeats has come by more than 10 points. I’m waiting for Quickley and Gradey Cock for both to shoot the ball more efficiently here, and I’m picking the Raptors to make this a game.
I complete my SGP with a Jalen Suggs sustain. The Raptors chose Barnes over Suggs in the 2021 draft, and the Orlando guard has since found some extra gear against Toronto.
Suggs has averaged 17 points in two games this season, and he’s topped 12.5 in each of his last three games overall.

Raptors vs Magic Spread and Over/Under Analysis
These teams are heading in opposite directions, as the Raptors look to the draft lottery and the Magic push to finish in the Top 4. That’s reflected in tonight’s double-digit line.
Even though Toronto has only covered the spread in two of its last nine games, I’ve already picked the visitors to keep the score close here. It all depends on getting quality minutes from the second unit, but Bruce Brown and Jordan Nwora both shot well on Friday.
The Magic played their best basketball at the Kia Center this season, en route to a 22-9 home mark, but it’s not usually an offense that blows opponents out of the water. Orlando averages 110.7 points per game, fifth lowest in the NBA.
The Under has been the way to go when betting on the Magic lately – it’s been a winning ticket in eight of their last 10 games. But he barely touched in Friday’s match and I’m leaning towards the Over here, with the line dropping slightly to 216.5 here.
The Raptors are missing key players in Barnes and Barrett, but they topped 110 points three times during their recent road trip. If Quickley heats up, the visitors should score enough points to keep the Over in play.
