THE Sacramento Kings made a huge off-season move by adding experienced DeMar DeRozan to their ranks.
The six-time All-Star is expected to play alongside De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, and the Lithuanian center admits the addition of the former The Chicago Bulls swingman exceeded his expectations.
“Absolutely. He’s a very smart player, he’s been around the league forever and he’s accomplished so much. I’m looking forward to learning from him, asking his advice, and I hope everyone else is too, so that everyone improves overall.” Sabonis told FOX40’s Sean Cunningham.
It’s safe to say he’s looking forward to playing alongside DeRozan.
“I’m glad he’s here. And then, spending this week with him in LA and getting to know him more, I’m really excited.“
He tried to explain how DeRozan’s style of play would fit his team and Sacramento’s team in general.
“I think it’s going to be good for us. It’ll make us think differently on the court, move differently and understand each other. We’re used to playing one style of game, but he’s doing something Hall of Fame-worthy that we’re going to have to play with, and it’s going to make it a lot harder for teams to defend us because we can score from anywhere.” , Sabonis said.
