SACRAMENTO – The Sacramento Kings have released their 2024-25 NBA regular season schedule, and they’ll kick things off right at home.
This will be the Kings’ 40th season in Sacramento.
The NBA’s opening night festivities will see the Kings take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 24 at Golden 1 Center.
A few days later, on October 26, the Kings will travel to Los Angeles to face the Lakers.
As previously announced, the NBA’s mid-season Emirates Cup will kick off on November 15 with the Kings taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves in Sacramento. The Kings will then play away games against the LA Clippers and Portland Trail Blazers before returning home for a December 3 matchup against the Houston Rockets.
While the Kings will open the preseason on October 9 against the Warriors, their first regular-season game against Golden State isn’t scheduled until January 5, 2025, in San Francisco. The Warriors will visit G1C a few weeks later, on January 22.
Other notable home games on the Kings’ schedule include a 2025 New Year’s Day game against the Philadelphia 76ers and a March 24, 2025 game against the reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics.
The Kings will face the New Orleans Pelicans, to whom they have lost six straight games, three times in a span of five days. They host the Pelicans on Feb. 8, then travel to New Orleans for back-to-back games on Feb. 12 and 13.
Harrison Barnes returns to Sacramento on December 1 and Davion Mitchell returns on November 6.
Demar DeRozan returns to Chicago on January 12.
The Kings will close the regular season at home on April 13, 2025, against the Phoenix Suns.
The Kings have played 16 straight games and 15 three-game homestands. Their longest home streak is seven games from March 17-27 and they have played two six-game road trips.
There will be 12 nationally televised games, including three on ESPN, three on TNT and six on NBA TV.
Finally, the Kings and A’s will play on the same day three times this year: April 9, April 11 and April 13.
