1st quarter report
The Kings and Knicks showed up to the game, but their offenses did not. With a score of 22-21, the Kings appear to be the better team, but there are still three quarters to play.
If the Kings continue to play like this, they will reach 39-27 in no time. On the other hand, the Knicks will have to settle for a 39-28 record unless they turn things around.

What there is to know
The Knicks and Kings have been tied 5-5 since March 2019, but not for long. The New York Knicks will hit the road to face the Sacramento Kings at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday at Golden 1 Center. Both teams enter the match strengthened by their victories in their previous matches.
Defenses reigned supreme when the Knicks and Trail Blazers played Thursday, rewarding bettors who took the risk on the low 203 points. New York won against the Trail Blazers by a score of 105-93. This victory made it two straight victories for the Knicks.
Jalen Brunson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 45 points.
Meanwhile, Sacramento earned a 120-107 victory over the Lakers on Wednesday.
It was another big night for Domantas Sabonis, who had a triple-double with 17 points, 19 rebounds and ten assists. He’s been hot lately, pulling down ten or more rebounds in the last 22 times he’s played.
New York’s victory was its third straight on the road, improving its record to 39-27. Despite these good results, the team’s offense did not work: over this period, they averaged only 107.3 points per game. As for Sacramento, they’ve been on a roll lately: they’ve won four of their last five games, which is a nice improvement to their 38-27 record this season.
In this competition, the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: the Knicks haven’t given up the ball easily this season, averaging just 12.4 turnovers per game. However, it’s not like the Kings struggled in that department as they averaged just 12.7 turnovers per game. Given these competing forces, it will be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
The Knicks are hoping to defy the odds on Saturday as experts believe they are headed for a loss. For those looking to play the spread, be careful: New York is playing as an underdog, but their 10-15-1 record against the spread as such isn’t exactly encouraging.
