Bleacher Report ranked the 30 NBA franchises from worst to best. San Antonio Spurs check in at third place all time.

The Spurs are ranked just behind the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, who have 18 and 17 championships, respectively.

San Antonio gets its ranking primarily of the five championships he won. His players included spectacular names like Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu GinĂ³bili, David Robinson and George Gervin.

When Robinson arrived, the Spurs reached another level, winning numerous games and clearly showing that they were on the verge of achieving great things.

When Robinson finally got Duncan on his side, the Spurs started winning championships.

The Silver & Black won five titles with Duncan. He won two with Robinson and three with a different supporting cast. Duncan, GinĂ³bili and Parker were as dominant as they come.

With the arrival of Kawhi Leonard in 2014, the Spurs were well on their way to building their legacy.

Unfortunately, Leonard’s first season was ruined by a Chris Bosh rebound of a LeBron James three-point attempt. Bosh fed the ball to Ray Allen, who made one of the most iconic shots in NBA Finals history. The Heat went on to win Game 7 at home and the rest is history.

Despite the loss, it’s fair that Spurs finished third overall.

The Spurs may be great, but they don’t have the titles or the longevity of the Celtics or Lakers. It seems like the Celtics have been winning titles since Naismith invented the game.

Now the mission is to find out how quickly they can reach the top of the mountain again.
