Sorry, Stephen A. The road to the NBA title might still go through Denver.

Last season, the sports media world traveled to Colorado State to become the Denver Nuggets played in their first ever NBA Finals. During the same season, they also won their first ever NBA Championship after beating the Miami Heat. While most members of the media enjoyed their time in Denver for the finale, some did not. ESPN Stephen A. Smith recently made it known that he was not a fan of the city and did not want come back to Denver if the Nuggets make the Finals again.

“I’m not coming to Denver,” Smith protested on ESPN. “I’m holding out for the Clippers, I’m holding out hope for Dallas.”

Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be the end for Smith expressing his disdain for Colorado State. Instead, he double about his strange grudge.

“I make no apologies for that,” Smith said via Denver’s 104.3 The Fan. “Now let me tell you this, it’s a fabulous sports town, the fans and atmosphere are great. The Nuggets are awesome…but when you talk about the Clippers, it’s Southern California…when I was in Denver last summer, the altitude was a stuffy nose and headaches for me every day. I’m just not a big fan of being in Denver, but I know it’s a city great athlete and a great team, but it’s not a place I want to be in sunny Southern California or Dallas, Texas.

Well, Stephen A., you should probably pack some Tylenol and allergy medicine now. With the Nuggets currently being one of the hottest teams in basketball, they are poised to make a serious playoff run to defend their title.
