THE Phoenix Suns 2024-25 Regular Season Schedule was unveiled last week, with all sorts of tasty matchups and unique scheduling quirks to unpack. As expected, the Suns’ first few weeks of the season are loaded with Western Conference action, with a two-game trip to face both Florida teams in December the first time they’ll venture away from the Valley.
The Suns also have three road games to play in their first five games, while four of their first five games will come against the two Los Angeles teams, the Lakers and Clippers. We may be nearing the end of LeBron James in the NBA – but for the Suns – they will get tired of him by the end of the first month.
That’s because their first game of the season will be in Inglewood, Los Angeles, at the Intuit Dome, the Clippers’ new home. Unsurprisingly, that game will also be on national television as part of the NBA’s opening week, which is a boost for the Suns.

While many have written the Suns off after their embarrassing playoff exit to the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, this proves that the Suns are still a major draw in the league. They could have realistically put any opponent here for the Clippers to face, and they chose the Suns.
Paul George may have left the stadium for the Philadelphia 76ers, but as long as this matchup promises Kawhi Leonard and James Harden against Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, it’s going to draw plenty of attention. What better way to open a new stadium than this, with the Suns staying in Los Angeles to face the Lakers a few nights later.
Former Clipper and Durant teammate Russell Westbrook has joined the Denver Nuggets. The two seemed to have settled their differences, but since they are fierce competitors, the potential for a fight always exists.
No sooner have the Suns left the City of Angels than they’ll be back in Inglewood, where they’ll visit the Clippers to close out October in what will be their fifth game of the season. The last time they’ll visit the state-of-the-art venue is in 2024-25, unless the two meet in the playoffs. A little tidbit to share at the next social event with a job you’d rather not attend.
