A former member of Portland Trail Blazers is back in the NBA, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

THE Phoenix Suns are bringing back Ish Wainright on a two-way NBA contract, agent Jim Tanner, Deirunas Visockas tells @TheAthletic @Stadium. Wainright played in seven games for Portland this season after two years in Phoenix.

Wainright, 29, was traded to the Blazers by the Phoenix Suns as part of a three-team trade that sent Damian Lillard to Milwaukee Bucks just before the start of the season.

Wainright played in seven games for the Blazers earlier this season, averaging 2.9 points per game.

The Blazers waived Wainright on January 6 and he has been without an NBA home ever since. But now he returns to the team he played for from 2021-2023 as it looks to make the Western Conference playoffs for the final month or so of the season.
