After spending the first two-thirds of the 2023-24 NBA season in free agency, eight-year veteran TJ Warren has signed a 10-day contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With the Timberwolves currently atop the Western Conference standings, they are counting on Warren to bolster their shooting depth as they head into the final stretch of the season.

Warren filled a similar role with the Suns in the final 16 games of the previous season. However, during the playoffs he struggled, shooting a combined 6 of 19 in the Wild Card round and Western Conference Semifinals.

Throughout his career, Warren maintained averages of 14.6 points, 4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

He gained significant recognition for his performance in the 2020 playoffs, earning the nickname “Bubble Warren” due to his extraordinary streak with the Indiana Pacers. Over six matches, Warren averages 31 pointsincluding a remarkable 53-point game where he made nine three-pointers.

This remarkable run propelled the Pacers into the playoffs as a play-in team. Even though they were ultimately swept by the Heat in the first round, Warren’s contributions in the bubble will always be remembered.
