It’s been known for some time that Talen Horton-Tucker won’t be returning to the Utah Jazz next season, but now he’s found a new destination: his hometown.
On Wednesday night, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that Horton-Tucker had agreed to a partially guaranteed contract with the The Chicago Bulls.
Charania said Horton-Tucker “will have the opportunity to be a part of the Bulls roster.” That, combined with the partial guarantee, means Horton-Tucker is not guaranteed a roster spot in Chicago beyond training camp.

Horton-Tucker, who is 6-foot-4 and 234 pounds, played two seasons with the Jazz after being traded by the The Los Angeles Lakers in 2022 alongside Stanley Johnson in exchange for Patrick Beverley.
Horton-Tucker played in 116 of 164 possible games for Utah, averaging 10.4 points per game over the two seasons.
The move to Chicago marks a homecoming for Horton-Tucker, who starred at the city’s Simeon Career Academy, the same high school that has produced a slew of NBA players.
