Renowned insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Los Angeles Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook plans to make a return to the team next week. His return is expected during the match against the Indiana Pacers on Monday.
Three weeks ago, Westbrook underwent hand surgery following an injury suffered in a game against the Washington Wizards in early March, where he fractured his hand.
In the current season, the 35-year-old has played in 58 games, averaging 11.1 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
It should be noted that Westbrook previously suffered a right hand injury early in the 2014/15 season. At that time, he successfully underwent surgery and returned to the field after 27 days, missing 14 games.
Moreover, the Clippers’ performance throughout the current regular season can be described as excellent. With 44 victories in 69 matches played, the team secures fourth position in the Western Conference standings.
