Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been fined $50,000 for making “obscene gestures towards a sport official,” the NBA introduced Monday.
That is the fifth time this season the 23-year-old has been fined by the league, which has now fined him $285,000 for the infractions.
In November, he was fined $35,000 for giving the finger to a Sacramento fan. In December, he was fined 3 times: $25,000 for swearing throughout a media interview, $75,000 for utilizing foul language and criticizing match officers, and $100,000 for swearing throughout a post-match tv interview.
Within the newest incident, Edwards gave a sport official the center finger on an inbounds play through the Timberwolves’ loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
