THE Portland Trail Blazers will go from a struggling, injury-riddled Memphis Grizzlies team to a healthy, true contender who might be in a bad mood after back-to-back losses.

The Minnesota Timberwolves lost 89-88 Sunday night at home to the LA Clippers just days after losing to the Sacramento Kings, 124-120 in overtime.

Portland is Minnesota’s final opponent in a seven-game homestand that hasn’t gone very well. The Timberwolves are 3-3 with this third loss against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Needless to say, Minnesota should be very motivated to make the Blazers’ job easier before they begin an upcoming six-game road trip.

The Blazers have lost three times to the Timberwolves this season. This is a terrible matchup for Portland, especially if Deandre Ayton (questionable, sprained wrist) and Jerami Grant (questionable, quad soreness) don’t play.

Again, sitting out would mean even more playing time for the young Blazers team, who played pretty well in two wins against the Grizzlies this weekend.
