After winning a gold medal at the Paris Olympics with Team USA, Phoenix Suns star forward Kevin Durant received another piece to add to his mantle.
At Fanatics Fest in New York, Durant got a surprise from WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Leveque, who presented him with a championship belt decorated in the colors of his alma mater, Texas:
“I always wanted one like that. And you got the burnt orange on it too? I like that, man,” Durant said before kissing Triple H.
Durant starred at Texas in 2007 and was named the National College Player of the Year after an impeccable freshman season. His No. 35 jersey has been retired by the Longhorns.
After a strong performance at the Olympics, the 14-time All-Star will now focus on helping the Suns compete for a title in the 2024-25 NBA season.
