Steph Curry and Kevin Durant were arguably the best duo in NBA history when they were teammates on the Golden State Warriors. Winning back-to-back championships in 2017 and 2018, Curry and Durant could have potentially won three straight titles had they not been injured in 2019.
Reunited at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Curry and Durant won a gold medal together. Team USA went undefeated this summer, and Curry and Durant’s play had a lot to do with it.
Curry was Team USA’s leading scorer at the Olympics, and Durant was third behind LeBron James.

During a recent appearance on the Dubs Talk Show, three-time NBA champion Warriors Shaun Livingston got candid about the Curry-Durant duel.
“Just seeing these guys team up at the Olympics, you realize there’s still some good in the pot,” Livingston said. “This mix works. That’s why it was such an easy fit when [Durant] He came in. His skills and his personality. Obviously one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball… Steph and KD – Klay, Draymond, all those guys. He fit him like a glove.
It’s an honest statement from Livingston, who has seen firsthand how well Curry and Durant have worked together as a duo in Golden State. According to the three-time champion, there’s still “gumbo left in the pot” when it comes to Curry and Durant’s success as a duo.
Even though they will probably never play together in the NBA again, Curry and Durant had a great run at the Olympics.
