THE Golden State Warriors The Red Sox will enter the 2024/25 NBA season looking to bounce back after missing the playoffs following their loss to the Sacramento Kings in the opening game of the play-in tournament. A lot has changed for the Warriors this summer, the main change being the departure of Klay Thompson from the Dallas Mavericks.
Following Thompson’s departure from the Warriors franchise, management explored potential deals to bring a new All-Star caliber talent to the San Francisco Bay Area. However, Golden State failed in its attempt to bring in Paul George or Lauri Markkanen. As a result, there are some questions regarding the Warriors’ chances of success next season.
During a recent Interview with People MagazineSteph Curry admitted he’s eager to prove Warriors doubters wrong.
“I like the fact that people don’t think we can keep up with some of the other teams they’re picking in the West,” Curry said. “And I like that challenge of going into training camp and being able to create your own success — that motivates me.”
The Warriors may have missed out on another All-Star, but they still managed to replace Thompson. De’Anthony Melton, Kyle Anderson and Buddy Hield have all joined the franchise, and Steve Kerr’s team is looking to strengthen accordingly.
Additionally, the Warriors have significant internal development room due to their host of young talents who are battling for important spots in the rotation. Curry has every chance of proving Golden State’s doubters wrong this season, and the Warriors still have enough assets to land a star teammate if one becomes available.
