The Warriors, in what has been an injury-limited season, have an empty injury report. In contrast, the Knicks injury report still houses 3 key players in their rotation. Luckily, 3 months after a horrific ankle injury, Robinson is about to be cleared for contact. His return can help ease the burden during the playoffs; especially when they need a big presence on the court and blocking shots.
Additionally, Anunoby’s return could result in an immediate roster move. Even less than a month after putting on a Knick jersey, Anunoby has ingrained himself deep into their playbook. The winger adds reliable shooting on the offensive end, with an ability to keep up with faster, bigger players on the other side of the field.
Around the beginning of March, multiple sources updated Randle to return at the end of the month. However, its status remains the same as the date approaches; a dislocated shoulder that could limit him for the rest of the season. Although the Knicks could make the playoffs without Randle, their chances of making a strong run are in balance during his absence.
However, for now, Brunson is effectively shouldering the burden for the Knicks and will enter the Warriors arena after back-to-back 40-point games.
