Denver Nuggets superstar center Nikola Jokic has defined his position. Coming into the league, Jokic was seen as just another European center, selected in the second round of the 2014 edition. NBA draft. No one thought he would be what we see of him today.

He is arguably the best player in basketball today and is on his way to a Hall of Fame career. Although Jokic has accomplished so much so far and is far from done, he still amazes NBA fans every night.

His final game against the New York Knicks on Thursday was no different. In the second quarter, Jokic once again made another highlight play, this time with his passing ability. Check out this insane pass from the two-time NBA MVP.

We’re all used to Jokic doing crazy things on the basketball court, but even the Nuggets broadcast team was speechless. Jokic made an impressive behind-the-back, no-look, over-the-head, one-handed pass to Aaron Gordon. He has a highlight almost every time, and the reigning NBA Finals MVP still amazes us night after night.

Aside from that great pass, the Nuggets won against the defensive-minded Knicks, 113-110. Jokic chipped in with 30 points, the second-highest scorer of the night, 11 assists and 14 rebounds to record his 22nd triple-double of the season.

The Nuggets are in second place in the Western Conference (49-21), tied for first place with the Oklahoma City Thunder (48-20). Jokic and the Nuggets have played excellent basketball throughout the season, especially lately as the regular season comes to a close. The Nuggets are in a prime position to become champions again, and aside from health, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t.

They will have the best player next to them every night in the playoffs. With Jokic on their side and his playmaking ability, the Nuggets are the team to beat. To be a champion, you have to beat the champions.
