Where would the Boston Celtics be seeded if they played in the NBA Western Conference? We don’t just mean if they had the same impressive record they have now, just in the West, but if they had to play the same row of bruising ballclubs the rest of the Western Conference does.
With ballclubs as good as the Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers barely within reach for the play-in tournament, it’s possible the mighty Celtics could get knocked down a peg or two if they had. such tough competition on a more regular basis.
The hosts of the popular ESPN show “NBA Countdown” addressed this question in a recent episode.
