At present, the Detroit Pistons are among a handful of cities that have an NBA franchise but no WNBA team. However, one of the league’s rising young stars has just been spotted supporting the team.
The WNBA has seen some notable rookies emerge this season. Caitlin Clark has been the breakout star, but Angel Reese is another player who has gotten her professional career off to a strong start.
After winning a championship at LSU, Reese was drafted seventh overall by the Chicago Sky. After a strong start to the season that included a string of historic double-doubles, some believe she has successfully forced her way into the conversation for Rookie of the Year with Clark.
In addition to being one of the WNBA’s top rookies, Reese has also developed a strong social media presence. Earlier this week, she posted a video online that caught the attention of Detroit fans. In the video, Reese is wearing a Pistons hoodie.

The video comes after rumors of a relationship between Reese and a member of the Pistons’ young core. During the WNBA’s hiatus for the Olympics, rumors surfaced that the Sky forward was vacationing with Detroit center Jalen Duren.

Before the WNBA paused, Reese was one of two rookies to receive All-Star Game honors. The other was Clark. In her first 27 games, Reese averaged 13.6 points per game, 12.3 rebounds per game, and 1.7 assists per game.
Although Reese has now been spotted in Pistons gear, it has still not been confirmed whether she and Duren are in a romantic relationship.
