Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert went down during Tuesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, and while he appeared to have avoided the worst-case scenario, he was still feeling the effects after the game.

Gobert told reporters that nothing was broken, but his chest felt like something was wrong after the fall and he had trouble breathing and moving when he returned to the locker room:

Rudy Gobert said nothing was broken and he was fine, but he had trouble moving and breathing in the locker room afterward. He said something seemed out of place after the fall.

Gobert played 33 minutes and recorded eight points and 11 rebounds before leaving the game in the fourth quarter. The Timberwolves rolled to a 118-100 victory after overcoming a 22-point first-half deficit to end a two-game skid and improve to 45-21.

Minnesota is certainly hoping Gobert won’t be forced to miss time, as his absence would be another blow to the team’s struggling frontcourt. Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns is sidelined after undergoing surgery on his torn meniscus.

The Timberwolves hope to have Gobert in the lineup when they return to action Saturday against the Utah Jazz.
