With training camp on the horizon in late September, the Milwaukee Bucks They make sure they have enough bodies.
The Bucks announced Tuesday that they have signed a guard James Akinjo and center Liam Robbins. The Athletic reported that both players agreed to Exhibit 10 contracts, which allowed them to enter training camp and prompted Akinjo and Robbins to sign with the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee’s G League affiliate.
Akinjo, who stands 6’1″, played in the G League last season with the Herd and Stockton Kings. In 14 games with the Herd, he averaged 9.7 points, 3.9 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game. He played with the Bucks’ summer league team in Las Vegas.
Akinjo played at Georgetown University, Arizona and Baylor.
Robbins, a 7-0 center, spent last preseason with the New Orleans Pelicans before being released. He was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year for Vanderbilt in the 2022-23 season. Robbins also played at Minnesota and Drake.
The Bucks have already filled their three two-way player spots after signing Anžejs Pasečņiks in August.
