Former NBA player Carmelo Anthony wants to own an NBA club.

It would be even nicer to have Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade as a partner.

In a recent episode of 7pm in BrooklynAnthony discussed the business.

“I’m trying to raise money now, I’m trying to raise money with my sports fund. I’ve traveled all over the world, including Japan, and this place, and this place, raising money,” Anthony said. “It’s hard to raise money, it’s hard to raise money. Most people say, ‘You’ve got the money, no, it’s hard to raise money and get people to understand what sports is. There’s so much money spent on sports, and people don’t really understand it. People really don’t understand sports.’”

Antoine earned over $260 million in NBA salaries throughout his career. He loves the idea of owning a team with Wade and LeBron James. All three entered the NBA in 2003.

“I would love that, that’s how you create what they talk about as generational. You know what I mean: it’s generational,” Anthony said. “It’s a legacy if we can do it. I don’t know how open I am. I don’t know how open they are; everybody’s in their own situation.”

Wade has plenty of experience. He became a minority shareholder in the Utah Jazz in 2021. He is also part of the ownership group of the WNBA’s Chicago Sky.
