Find out what injury caused Pelicans star Brandon Ingram to leave the game against Magic
Pelicans star Brandon Ingram left Thursday’s game in Orlando with an injury.
DID YOU HAVE FIRST WEATHER WARNING UP TO THE LAST FEW DAYS THAT WE WILL BE FOLLOWING A LITTLE RAIN TODAY, AND IT WOULD BE JUST RAIN. IT WOULD BE LIGHT RAIN AND CONTINUOUS RAIN. Rumbles of thunder here and there. POSSIBLE, BUT MORE LIKELY IN THE SOUTH. AND HERE IT IS. RAIN IS COMING RIGHT NOW. OUR FIRST WDSU WEATHER WARNING DOPPLER AT SOME TIMES TODAY LOOKS FAIRLY ACTIVE, BUT MOST OF THIS RAIN IS HOLDING BACK UNTIL NOW TO STAND IN. I’M GONNA SHOW YOU WHY HERE THE WORDS RIGHT IN THE AREA HERE, SHOWING THE FIRST WAVES OF LIGHT RAIN ARE MOVING INTO THE METRO AT THIS TIME. BUT IT’S STILL A VERY LIGHT RAIN AND THE AIR IS SO DRY THAT A LOT OF THIS RAIN, WHEN IT DIES DOWN TO DRY AIR, WE’RE NOT YET EXPECTING THE DEW POINT IN THE TEMPERATURE OF THE AIR. TO KNOW YOU’RE A LITTLE SATURATED, YOU CAN ALLOW THE RAIN, IT EVAPORATES. And so we call this Virga just a fancy name to seem a little smarter than we’d like. BUT MOST OF THIS RAIN IS COMING RIGHT NOW, AND IT’S A REALLY LIGHT, CONTINUOUS RAIN. YOU’RE GOING TO SEE THE TOTALS IN A MINUTE, NOT SHOWING A LOT OF THE NORTH SHORE, WHERE WE HAD A FEW MORE SHOWERS A LITTLE EARLIER FROM MADISONVILLE TO MANDEVILLE, A LITTLE RAIN. You pass through GEAUX I-12 and get closer to Slidell. The rains are coming upon you at this time. IT’S HERE. SLIDELL, ISLE OF EDEN, RIVER OF PEARL. YOU WILL HAVE RAIN BEFORE TOO LONG, BUT THERE IS STILL A LOT OF HEAVIER RAIN. IT’S MORE OF A CONSTANT RAIN AS YOU HEAD FURTHER WEST. BUT THIS IS A LOT ALSO THAT THE RADAR BEAMS LOOK A LITTLE HIGHER INTO THE SKY. SO YOU’RE LOOKING AT RAIN THAT’S FALLING AT A LITTLE HIGHER RATE BECAUSE IT’S GOING DOWN FROM 10 TO 5000 FT. I WANT TO SHOW YOU CROSS-REFERENCE THIS WITH A FORECAST IN THE FORECAST, THE DATA LINES UP REALLY, REALLY WELL TODAY. So I’ll tell you, we’ve done this one pretty well since yesterday. SO THERE IT IS. LIGHT RAIN IS COMING NOW. And we’re going to about 530 emissions showing that we have a more consistent pocket of rain. IT’S RIGHT HERE. LET’S SEE THROUGH THE GUIDE AT THE END OF THE SCREEN HERE. IT’S NOT THAT HEAVY AND IT STARTS TO DROP AT 7 AM. And it’s all over by nine o’clock. THEN WE GET A BREAK OVERNIGHT. SO, WHAT HAVE WE DONE IN WAY OF RAIN TOTALS TODAY? I mean 100th of an inch here and there. FOUR HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH SO NOW. LUTCHER AND THAT’S ABOUT WHAT WE’RE PLANNING FOR THIS PARTICULAR ROUND, MAYBE A FEW TENTHS AT MAXIMUM. REAL TIME. STILL COOL IN THE 60S. I went with a high of around 70 today. WAS PLAYING TO KEEP IT IN THE 60’S LIKE THE COVER. I would have liked to have made a 68, but nevertheless it is still a rather cloudy and cooler day. THERE’S A SYSTEM MOVING HERE THAT’S BRINGING STRONGER STORMS AND COULD CAUSE ANOTHER ROUND TOMORROW, BUT IT’S THE MAIN PLAYER AND IT’S THE SYSTEM THAT’S MOVING ABOVE AS WE GET TOWARDS THE AFTERMATH NOON AFTER WE HAVE DISTRIBUTED THE CLOUDS. AND THIS IS THE ONE THAT HAS A LOT OF COLD AIR, VERY HIGH IN THE SKY. AND THAT’S THE RISK WE HAVE OF POSSIBLE HIGHER STORMS AND HAIL. Once that’s over, that leaves the weekend free and clear. STILL A CLOUDY SITUATION WHICH WE WILL REACH SATURDAY. So back to DOPPLER radar. SHOW HOW IT ALIGNS WITH THIS FORECAST WHICH ALIGNS PERFECTLY AGAIN FROM 530 TO 6 TO SEPT. A LITTLE LIGHT CONSISTENT RAIN IS HERE AND THEN IT’S GONE. But look what happens tomorrow. WE’RE STARTING TO SEE A FEW SHOWERS AND STORMS DEVELOP. BUT FIRST, SO YOU DON’T FORGET ABOUT SOME WET ROADS IF YOU HAVE TO GO HOME, YOU’RE LOOKING AT WORK RIGHT NOW. YOU SHOULD SHOW THIS RAIN. LOW TEMPERATURES TOMORROW. ONLY IN THE UPPER 50S TO ABOUT 61. A SERIES OF THUNDERSTORMS TOMORROW MORNING COULD BE HEAVY LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN. IT’S A QUICK MOVE. IT’S OUT, IT’S OUT. MAYBE A GUSTY WIND. I don’t see the threat of hail with this. BUT LOOK, AS WE CLEAR THE SKY, WE WARM UP TO 76 LAKEFRONT 77 NICE HUNT AND WE HAD GUSTY WINDS TOO, SOME EAST AND SOUTHEAST WINDS FROM 10 TO 20. AND THAT COULD FEED THE POSSIBILITY OF THESE STRONG STORMS WHICH COULD CONTAIN VERY SMALL STORMS. RISK OF SOME SMALL HAIL. That’s why it’s a day of meteorological impact. Because hail for us is a little unusual, but not unheard of. BUT WE MAY GET SOME RAIN QUICKLY. A TWO INCH WHEN IT PASSES. SO ON SATURDAY, WATCH THE CLOUDY COVER HANG THROUGH THE MORNING, BUT SHOULD RELAX THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. I am a bit pessimistic. I WILL KEEP THE WEATHER A LITTLE CLOUDER ALL MORNING UNTIL NOON. I think that eventually we will see that some sunshine will remain. IT’S 70 WDSU. FIRST WEATHER WARNING IMPACT DAY TOMORROW FOR HAIL POINT
