Former Orlando Magic goaltender Evan Fournier is reportedly set to sign with Greece’s Olympiacos BC, according to a report from Matteo Andreani of Basketinside.com Monday.
The contract is reportedly worth £5 million over two seasons, which is worth over $6.5 million. After 12 seasons in the NBA and a strong comeback with the French national team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which resulted in a silver medal at the Games, Fournier is set to make his Euroleague Basketball debut next season.
This summer in Paris, Fournier was averaging 9.8 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game on 36.8% shooting and 32.4% from three-point range.
During his time in the United States, Fournier spent seven seasons with the Magic, during which he averaged 16.2 points per game in 435 appearances (including 399 as a starter). It was by far his longest stint with an NBA franchise, having started his career with two seasons in Denver before Orlando, then parts of seasons with Boston, New York and Detroit.
