THE Sacramento Kings has seen significant turnover in the coaching department this offseason, with talented assistant head coach Jordi Fernandez taking the head coaching position with the Brooklyn Nets and Stockton Kings head coach Lindsey Harding joining the The Los Angeles Lakers staff.
With about two months to go until opening night, Sacramento’s G League affiliate in Stockton has found Harding’s replacement.
Shams Charania The Athletic reports that the Kings are hiring Quinton Crawford to take over the reins in Stockton.
Sacramento Kings hire Quinton Crawford as head coach of NBA G League franchise Stockton Kings, sources say @TheAthletic. Crawford, 33, spent the last seven seasons as an NBA assistant, including the 2023-24 season in Phoenix. He was part of the staff of the 2020 champion Lakers.

Crawford, a 33-year-old coach, has spent the last seven seasons in the NBA, most recently as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns last season. Crawford also spent time with the The Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Lakers, where he was part of their championship run in 2020.
Crawford is a talented young coach and should be a great fit to take over in Stockton. Crawford started his NBA journey in Sacramento with the video department, and getting his first head coaching job where it all began is a big moment.

Crawford is set to become Stockton’s 11th head coach since the start of the 2008-09 season, and just the third in the last three seasons.
Bringing a new face into the franchise should be a good move, and Crawford should have no trouble taking over a talented G League team that is coming off a league-best 24-10 record. Kings fans should be eager to see what the young coach can do with the developmental squad.
