THE The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing up for an exciting 2024 NBA season. Veteran superstar LeBron James will return as the team’s top contributor. However, the upcoming campaign will be unlike anything James has experienced so far. His son, Bronny James joins the Lakers as the team’s second-round pick in 2024. James spoke about the surreal side of playing with his son ahead of the team’s training camp.
Jacques revealed his enthusiasm to play with Bronny with a NSFW version of an episode of The Shop, via X (formerly Twitter):
“I’m so excited to get to training camp. I mean, having your son working with you is the best thing ever. I can’t wait for that moment. I can’t wait to get on the field with him. It’s going to be pretty surreal for me. It might be the first time I walk away in my entire career and think, ‘Oh shit, this is really cool,’” James shared.
LeBron James feels that playing with Bronny will allow him to focus on something other than himself and gain a new perspective.
“I haven’t been able to do it on my own, and maybe that’s because I’ve been trying to climb this mountain. I’m so in the moment, like my whole career, that I pray and hope that being with my son will finally give me the opportunity to step back and look at things from a different perspective,” James added.
Lakers hope father-son duo can create positive dynamic
It will be great to see James and his son share the court. As the Lakers veteran mentioned, this experience allows him to see things from a new perspective. Perhaps this new perspective and energy will lead to increased success for Los Angeles.
