One of the biggest topics of conversation every offseason is NBA 2K ratings. Every year, there’s talk about players being rated too low or too high.
Three-time MVP Nikola Jokic is a player many consider to be too low. While Jokic never speaks about it himself because he doesn’t care, some of his NBA peers speak on his behalf, including Memphis Grizzlies All-Star Jaren Jackson Jr.
During an interview on The Old Man and The Three podcast, Jaren Jackson Jr. revealed that he disagrees with Jokic’s 97 rating in NBA2K25.
“Joker had three MVPs and he gets a 97? I wish I had three MVPs and they gave me a 97, I’d be almost mad… Joker has to get a 98,” Jackson said.
It’s worth noting that Nikola Jokic’s 97 rating is actually the highest for a male player in NBA2K25. Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are both ranked 97 overall alongside Jokic, and there should probably be some separation between the three.
However, when comparing Jokic to previous NBA2K games, LeBron James was rated higher from 2K12 to 2K15. While 97 is obviously very high, there are dozens of players who received a 98 or higher.
It’s very easy to say that Nikola Jokic was a little disrespected with his NBA2K25 rating, but at the end of the day, he probably doesn’t care at all.
