In evaluating the summer league, the OKC Blue of the G League made a trade between four teams. Oklahoma City Thunder The affiliate has just won the G League championship and hopes to defend its title in the upcoming 2024-25 season.

To do this, the Blues acquired the rights to Buddy Boeheim. He sent the rights of Caleb McConnell to the Greensboro swarm, which are the Charlotte Hornets“Affiliated with the G League.

Meanwhile, McConnel is being sent to Greensboro. He signed with the Blues after going undrafted in 2023. He’s an athletic defenseman who struggles to shoot. He played with the Hornets during summer league, so he must have left a good impression.

The Thunder are one of the best teams to use their G League affiliate. Assignments and call-ups are seamless as the two teams share the same arena. Expect OKC to continue to rely on the Blue for its developmental projects next season.
