Buddy Boeheim is returning from a 10-game season with the Detroit Pistons.
The former Syracuse star averaged 3.4 points and 1.0 rebounds per game while shooting 31.0 percent from the field and 32.0 percent from three-point range.
During the offseason, Shams Charania announced that Boeheim would sign a training camp contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Recently, the Oklahoma City Thunder Blues (the Thunder’s G League affiliate) announced a trade to acquire his rights.
Via The OKC Blue on August 29: “In a four-team trade, the Oklahoma City Blues have acquired the return rights to forward Buddy Boeheim in exchange for the return rights to guard/forward Caleb McConnell and a 2025 second-round pick, the team announced today.”

Boeheim was a member of the Motor City Cruise (the Detroit Pistons’ G League affiliate).
He finished the regular season with averages of 17.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 45.8% from the field and 43.1% from three-point range in 31 games.
As for the Thunder, they are coming off a great year where they were the top seed in the Western Conference.
They lost to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the NBA playoffs (in six games).
