This year, Council is entering his second season with the Sixers. While he was one of the team’s rookies last season, splitting his time between the main roster and its G League affiliate in Delaware, Council could work his way into the rotation if he has a strong training camp and preseason.
Last year, in his rookie season, Council played 32 games with the Sixers. Averaging nine minutes on the court per game, Council scored five points and one rebound per game. He shot 48 percent from the field and made 38 percent of his three-pointers.

As the Council looks for a bigger role in 2024-25, he’s spending the offseason with the right veteran. Since joining the Sixers in 2020, Tyrese Maxey has been a hard worker who has improved each season. While he had inconsistent minutes during his rookie season, Maxey became a full-time starter in his sophomore season.
Since then, Maxey has earned the starting point guard role and become the NBA’s Most Improved Player with a 2024 All-Star nomination.
Soon, the young veterans will be back on the field to prepare for the 2024-2025 season.
