THE The Philadelphia 76ers should be a big challenger to the defending champion Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference after a busy summer of overhauling a roster that fell in the first round of the 2024 playoffs. President of basketball operations Daryl Morey has done a great job with the salary space he’s accumulated.

As the Sixers continue to prepare for the upcoming season, they have made a major personnel move within the front office. The Sixers will bring in former Memphis Grizzlies Ariana Andonian, director of player personnel, will be their new vice president of player personnel.

Andonian also has experience with the Houston Rockets before his days with the Grizzlies.

Athletic had Andonian ranked in their top 40 under 40 list and I’m delighted with his work so far:

Andonian has steadily risen within the Grizzlies organization after taking a short sabbatical to earn her MBA from Duke (she began her career with the Houston Rockets). Those who have worked with her rave about her attention to detail and recruiting savvy.

Managing partner Josh Harris and his staff will be counting on Andonian to help them take another step forward in a top-heavy Eastern Conference.
