Indiana Pacers Guard Tyrese Haliburton has established himself as one of the best players in the NBA. Will Haliburton remain with the Pacers in the near future, or Will the star consider a change of scenery??

“I’m not going anywhere,” Haliburton told The Pat McAfee Show. “So if they want to play me, they’re going to have to come here. The Stephon Marbury comment is kind of weird… Why Phoenix needs me, they’ve got Tyus Jones, they’ve got a good team there… I mean, I get it but I’m good in Indy, they’re good in Phoenix. Everybody’s doing good right now.”

Former NBA player Stephon Marbury recently made headlines after saying that Haliburton could be a good fit for the Phoenix Suns. Haliburton, however, is settling for Indiana. Pacers will have a chance to make some noise during the 2024-25 season with Haliburton leading the way.

For now, Haliburton is focused on preparing for the new campaign. He also seems to be enjoying his life in Indiana. The Pacers guard is often seen at Indiana Fever games. In addition, Haliburton recently attended an Indianapolis Colts game.

Haliburton was also a member of the gold-winning 2024 U.S. Summer Olympics team, although he didn’t get much playing time. Still, Haliburton did get to spend time with legends such as LeBron James.

Haliburton would have liked to play more often in Paris. In any case, it was a great experience.

“Great teammate,” Haliburton said of LeBron James on the Pat McAfee Show. “Everybody was super cool… I was just asking a bunch of questions. I was asking guys about stories from when I was growing up… We’d all have dinner together and talk basketball for hours… It was a great time.”

Haliburton will likely play a significant role on the U.S. Olympic team in the future, assuming he chooses to compete once again. This year’s Olympic team was led by future Hall of Famers LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Tyrese Haliburton and Anthony Edwards could lead the way in 2028, however.

That being said, Haliburton still benefited from the 2024 Summer Olympics.

“A lot of times, especially early in the year in Vegas, I would be shooting a basket and I think LeBron and him and AD (Anthony Davis) would want to work out there,” Haliburton said. “And they would just be like, ‘Come work out with us.’ I was like, ‘For real? Okay, that’s pretty cool.’”

Pacers outlook for 2024-25

Of course, Pacers fans want to know what to expect in the upcoming 2024-25 season. When asked if Indiana would win the championship this season, Tyrese Haliburton confidently answered, “Yes.”

The Pacers reached the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2024 playoffs. They were defeated by the eventual champion Boston Celtics, but it was still a good season for Indiana. The Pacers should be serious contenders again as Tyrese Haliburton looks to lead the franchise to a championship.
