What there is to know

The Kings have played six games at home, but will soon have to dust off their jerseys on the road. They will face the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena. If the odds are to be believed, the Kings are looking at one of their easiest games of the year.

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Kings finally got the result they were hoping for on Monday. They came away with a 121-111 victory over Memphis.

Several players had strong performances to lead the Kings to victory, but perhaps none more than Domantas Sabonis, who had a double-double with 25 points and 18 rebounds. Sabonis is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he has now lost ten or more in the last 24 games he has played. Another player who made the difference was Malik Monk, who scored 28 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Raptors’ recent rough patch got a little tougher on Sunday after their seventh straight loss. They suffered a heavy fall 111-96 against Orlando. The Raptors have struggled against the Magic recently, as their game on Sunday was their third straight loss.

Sacramento has been on a roll lately: They’ve won three of their last four games, which has been a nice improvement to their 39-28 record this season. As for Toronto, it was their fifth straight road loss, dropping their record to 23-45.

In this competition, the number of possessions will likely be a big factor: the Kings haven’t given up the ball easily this season, averaging just 12.7 turnovers per game. However, it’s not like the Raptors struggled in that department as they averaged just 12.9 turnovers per game. Given these competing forces, it will be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

The Kings didn’t have much breathing room when they faced the Raptors in their previous matchup in January, but they still came away with a 135-130 victory. The rematch could be a little tougher for the Kings since the team won’t have home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change of location makes a difference.
