What is the ceiling and floor of the guard? Lonnie Walker IV with the Boston Celtics this season? The Celtics took a low risk with Walker, signing the former Brooklyn Nets wing toward an Exhibit 10 contract as he looks to work his way toward a full contract with the Celtics in training camp.

First, how confident are we that he’ll be in the lineup, given his defensive flaws and other clubs’ reluctance to sign a young winger who can put the ball in the three-point basket? Second, assuming he’s in the lineup, could he play regularly? Maybe even get a significant role as a cap hitter? The downside, being out of the league, isn’t out of the question either.
